Tarapith is a Hindu temple town in the Birbhum district of West Bengal.  It is believed to be one of the 51 piths of Goddess Sati. It is onthe banks of river Daroka.

Kankalitala is one of the Shaktipiths of Sati Devi and is considered to be a place where one can find peace and purity. Besides being a religious spot it also acts as a local picnic spot for people.

Kopai river is a tributary of Mayurakhi river. The area around the river often has purple soil, which forms ravines on the river bank with weathering and is popularly known as the khoai.

The Khoai region is covered by a patch of forest of Sonajhuri trees on the Laal Maati. During winters the entire forest is covered in tiny golden Sonajhuri flowers. Saturday Haats here is a unique experience.

Massanjore Dam is a hydropower generating dam over the Mayurakshi River. It is surrounded by mountains and you can enjoy hill climbing and swimming here.

Amkhoi Fossil Park is located in Ilambazar forest in Birbhum District. It contains fossilized wood and is officially recognized by the State Forest Department of West Bengal.
