It is a storehouse of Tibetan translations of famous Sanskrit words and rare Buddhist manuscripts. A 15ft high statue of Buddha is enshrined here which is the main attraction of this monastery. The monastery follows Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and considered to be a sacred place for the entire Buddhist community.
