It is a storehouse of Tibetan translations of famous Sanskrit words and rare Buddhist manuscripts. A 15ft high statue of Buddha is enshrined here which is the main attraction of this monastery. Tourists also get fascinated by thethangka walls. The large premise can accommodate 60monks. The monastery follows Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and considered to be a sacred place for the entire Buddhist community.
